First Waves of Gustav
We’re starting to see the outer bands of thunderstorms and winds from Gustav. This quick storm rolled in a few hours ago:
Time to come in from the beach. Red flags indicate that swimming in the Gulf is now prohibited:

These pictures are great. Are you leaving or is just your stuff leaving? What are hurricane shutters? Plywood isn’t good engough anymore? Keep us posted when you can.
We stayed on the island last night. I have these huge metal accordion-style doors that lock shut on top of all of my windows and doors. These are my hurricane shutters. I can basically seal this place up like the Bat-Mobile if I need to.
